Geely EX2 Makes Debut at the Cutaway Sydney

Geely Auto Australia has officially launched the all-electric Geely EX2 in Australia, bringing the world’s bestselling small EV to life at an immersive event at Sydney’s The Cutaway.

More than 300 guests from across the automotive industry came together for the Australian debut, including media, influencers, dealer partners, business partners and Geely staff. 

Designed to reflect the character of the Geely EX2 itself, the launch went beyond a traditional vehicle reveal, creating an immersive experience that brought the car’s style, space, and technology to life. 

The centrepiece of the evening was a dramatic runway reveal, with the Geely EX2 taking centre stage as guests watch live as the vehicle’s design and urban-focused personality were demonstrated for the first time in an Australian launch setting.

Guests were then invited to explore the three dedicated experiential displays, each highlighting a different aspect of the Geely EX2 experience — from its distinctive design and surprisingly spacious interior, through to its intelligent technology and features designed for everyday city driving. 

Style & Lifestyle The Nova Pink Geely EX2 arrived at a high-fashion shoot, unfolding to reveal shopping bags, boxes and a live photographer — transforming the car into both the hero and the set for guests to capture their own fashion moments.

Space & Adaptability A florist transformed the Aurora Green Geely EX2 into a moving garden, with its doors, boot and frunk opening to reveal a cascade of flowers and foliage to demonstrate the vehicle’s ability to carry whatever creativity demands.  

Innovation & Technology The DJ arrived in a Nebula Beige Geely EX2, jumping up on stage to plug her kit into the Star Silver stage display as the power source, demonstrating the car’s tech credentials before leading into the party portion of the evening.  

Held at The Cutaway in Barangaroo, the event marked an industry-first for the venue, transforming it into a showcase for Geely Auto Australia’s newest model and its vision for accessible electric mobility.  

The Geely EX2 joins the Geely EX5 and Starray EM-i as the latest addition to Geely’s growing Australian line-up, expanding the brand into the compact electric hatchback segment.

With its combination of distinctive design, clever use of space and accessible EV technology, the EX2 represents another significant step in Geely Auto Australia’s ambition to make new-energy mobility more accessible to Australian drivers.

The Australian launch marks the beginning of the next chapter for the EX2, with the vehicle now available through the Geely dealer network nationwide.
