Geely Breaks into Australia's Top 10 VFACTS Brands in July 2026
Geely Auto Australia has broken into Australia’s top 10 automotive brands for the first time, recording its strongest-ever monthly sales result in July 2026.
Geely delivered 3,685 vehicles in July, representing an impressive 652 per cent increase year-on-year and placing the brand as the 10th bestselling brand in Australia for the month according to VFACTS.
The result marks another significant milestone for Geely, which launched in Australia in March 2025 and has rapidly established itself as one of the country’s fastest-growing automotive brands, delivering almost 20,000 vehicles since.
July’s performance was driven by strong demand across Geely’s growing range of electrified vehicles, led by the Geely EX5, which recorded 2,034 sales to rank as Australia’s 9th best-selling vehicle overall and the 3rd best-selling electric vehicle for the month.
The newly launched Geely EX2 also made immediate impact, recording 474 sales in its first month of deliveries to become Australia’s 2nd best-selling light car in July.
The Starray EM-i also continued its strong momentum, with 1,177 vehicles sold in July, places it among Australia’s best-selling medium PHEV SUV models for the month.
The brand’s growing momentum comes as Australian consumers increasingly embrace electrified vehicles. July was another record month for the Australian new-vehicle market overall, with more than 108,000 vehicles delivered nationally and battery-electric vehicles accounting for more than one in five sales.
Geely’s July result reflects the rapid growth of the brand since entering the Australian market, with its expanding portfolio giving customers greater choice across key segments.
With the Geely EX5 continuing to build momentum in the highly competitive medium SUV segment, the Starray EM-i offering plug-in hybrid technology and the new Geely EX2 bringing accessible all-electric mobility to Australian drivers, Geely is continuing to broaden its appeal.
